Job Title: Full Time Patient Support Technician (PST)

Schedule: 7:00pm-7:00am every 3rd weekend

Hours per week: 36

Community Rehabilitation Hospital South is a state-of-the-art 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.

Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke brain injury neurological conditions trauma spinal cord injury amputation and orthopedic injury.

Community Rehabilitation Hospital South strives to maximize the health function and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

We are accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for our Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and our Stroke Rehabilitation and Amputation Specialty programs.

What you will do in this role:

Assist nursing staff with patients personal care emotional support and activities of daily living. More complex duties performed under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care
  • Notifies appropriate licensed personnel of patient complaints
  • Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care
  • Answers patient call lights and anticipates patient needs
  • Transport patients to and from various departments
  • Reports and records any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients
  • Provides morning and evening care of patients
  • Prepares patients for meals; serves and removes food trays and assists with meals or feeds patients if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment
  • CNA preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of relative experience preferred
