The Lounge by Zalando Demand Tech team creates innovative services designed to communicate compelling offers to millions of users daily ensuring that each message reaches the right audience at the perfect moment in the most engaging manner possible.

To further accelerate our growth and enhance user engagement were looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. Your primary responsibility will be to architect and develop a robust Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) using Kotlin. This backend will drive automation and composition of personalized dynamic landing pages seamlessly integrated with our React-based frontend.

Design develop and maintain a scalable Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) service using Kotlin ensuring fast and reliable composition of automated landing pages.
Collaborate closely with frontend engineers (React) product managers and UI/UX designers to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
Lead the implementation of marketing automation features leveraging data-driven insights for personalization targeted user experiences and effective A/B testing.
Continuously improve our systems by refactoring and decoupling existing components to enhance scalability maintainability and performance.
Operate confidently in a cloud-first environment (AWS) with strong adherence to API-driven development practices.

WED LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

5 years of professional experience in full stack development specifically developing scalable backend solutions with Kotlin.
Hands-on experience building modern frontend applications with React Webpack ES6 and CSS preprocessors (e.g. LESS or similar).
Proven expertise in designing and implementing Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) solutions or similar architectural patterns.
At Zalando Lounge you own your solutions end-to-end: build it deploy it optimize it and continuously enhance it.
Strong experience or willingness to engage deeply with AWS Kubernetes CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
A proactive business-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to improving user experiences through effective software solutions.
Excellent teamwork skills ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and passion for sharing best practices within the team.
