We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Houston TX
Overview of role: Overseeing the estimation for commercial electrical projects.
Pay: $100-140K
Benefits: This position offers benefits including PTO Medical Dental and Vision Insurance and yearly profit sharing
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm
Key Responsibilities for Electrical Estimator:
Review blueprints specifications and project documents to develop accurate electrical cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs of electrical systems including lighting power distribution conduit wiring and low-voltage systems.
Prepare labor material equipment and subcontractor cost estimates in line with project scope and deadlines.
Collaborate with project managers engineers and clients to clarify scope resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment on project requirements.
Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
Develop and maintain cost databases unit pricing and historical data for estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications for Electrical Estimator:
Proven experience (Minimum 5 years) as an Electrical Estimator in commercial construction projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems codes and industry standards (NEC NFPA etc.).
Proficiency in estimating software (EBM preferred not required).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings blueprints and project specifications.
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering Construction Management or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Valid electrical license or journeyman/master certification a plus.
