Job Summary

The Electrical Assembler plays a critical role in the full-cycle electrical assembly of the companies machines working within the assembly shop to build wire and test complex industrial systems. Depending on experience level (Trainee Intermediate or Senior) responsibilities range from hands-on training alongside senior electricians to independently performing advanced wiring diagnostics and machine startup support. This position requires a strong foundation in electrical principles attention to detail safe work practices and the ability to interpret schematics handle tools and equipment and collaborate closely with engineers and mechanics. Travel shift flexibility and physical stamina are essential as the role may include up to 30% travel and overtime to meet production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble install and wire electrical components control panels motors and electronic devices on CNC machinery according to schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Route and terminate cables (e.g. motor power encoder ethernet I/O circuit breakers computers cameras relays).
  • Perform continuity checks ring out wiring verify I/O circuits and ensure proper grounding and phasing of incoming power.
  • Use tools including multimeters phase meters crimpers soldering irons knockout punches and heat guns to perform precise electrical work.
  • Install electrical enclosures I/O racks ductways brackets and wireways including drilling and tapping as needed.
  • Interpret and cross-reference schematics part lists and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Maintain accurate documentation including checklist completion schematic markups product release forms and ENOC documentation.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and engineers during system integration startup and troubleshooting phases.
  • Safely operate forklifts scissor lifts ladders and man lifts to perform overhead or elevated tasks.


Requirements

  • Understanding of electrical/electronic theory including AC/DC systems single- and three-phase power resistance inductance capacitance and grounding principles.
  • Basic understanding or reading and interpreting electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Experience in handling electrical tools and diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes megohmmeters data loggers and feedback setup tools.
  • Ability to complete Printed Circuit Board (PCB) computer and basic math skills for documentation and system input.
  • Strong planning prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork communication and adaptability in dynamic shop environments.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electrical systems or industrial technology preferred.
  • Previous experience in electrical assembly within the machine tools or industrial equipment sector.
  • Ability to travel nationally or internationally up to 30% in accordance with Company Service Policy.
  • Availability to work overtime and second shifts as needed.
