Case Manager IHT Life Insurance
Location: City of London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to 45k Basic Excellent Bonus potential
We are seeking an experienced Case Manager to join a specialist team handling complex life insurance cases with a focus on inheritance tax (IHT) planning and high networth clients. You will be involved in working on complex high-value cases and bespoke planning strategies.
This is a pivotal role where youll manage cases end-to-end ensuring clients feel supported advisers are fully equipped and cases progress smoothly efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of IHT life cover cases from client introduction to policy going on risk.
- Coordinate with medical partners GPs and clinics to arrange medicals chase reports and resolve delays.
- Collaborate with underwriters to progress applications and ensure accurate documentation.
- Keep clients informed with timely updates and reassurance at key touchpoints.
- Apply initiative when cases stall due to medical delays GP non-response or underwriting queries.
- Confidently manage high-value sensitive cases involving large sums assured.
- Maintain detailed case notes and ensure all work meets FCA standards and internal compliance.
Experience required:
- Proven experience in life insurance case management ideally with exposure to IHT or HNW clients.
- Understanding of medical underwriting processes and terminology.
- Professional empathetic communication skills with the ability to reassure clients and liaise with medical professionals.
- Highly organised proactive and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes while upholding Consumer Duty principles.
