Georgetown College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at its Georgetown KY campus. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related field. Classroom teaching responsibilities of the Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry will include undergraduate Organic Chemistry and lower-division courses such as: CHE111L - General Chemistry I Lab; CHE327 - Medicinal Chemistry; CHE201 - Organic Chemistry I; CHE202 - Organic Chemistry I Lab; CHE113 General Chemistry II Lab; CHE309 Organic Chemistry II; CHE310 Organic Chemistry II Lab. Teaching load is twelve hours per semester. The Chemistry Department is ACS-Approved. It has 5 full-time faculty is well-equipped and emphasizes close faculty-student interaction. Georgetown College is a private Christian liberal arts institution and emphasis is placed on teaching excellence in a diverse context. It is in the small college town of Georgetown Kentucky just 12 miles north of Lexington.
