Overview
Premier Orthopaedics in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in South Philadelphia Brinton Lake and Havertown PA. Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced clinical care under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons. Responsibilities include assessment diagnosis treatment and patient education. The role also includes triaging patient calls performing procedures such as suturing and injections responding to emergencies and collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff. This position supports both clinic and hospital rounds as needed. This is a full-time on-site role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess diagnose and treat acute and chronic orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
- Perform procedures including injections and suturing as appropriate
- Triage and respond to patient calls in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons clinical staff and other healthcare providers
- Develop and update patient care plans documenting interventions accurately
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans exercises and post-operative care
- Support clinical operations including clinic and hospital rounds as needed
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards including HIPAA
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Education:
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
Licenses & Certifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- BLS certification required
- Additional certifications per state regulations or specialty may be preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital environment
- Experience in orthopedic or musculoskeletal care preferred
- Skill in evaluating patient problems developing/revising care plans and providing appropriate interventions
