We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Project Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be reliable detail-oriented and capable of working independently to deliver high-quality project outcomes. Responsibilities:

Install repair and upgrade fire alarm systems; program control panels using building plans and electrical layouts

Mount sensors and perform installation tasks (e.g. drilling holes accessing crawlspaces/attics)
-
Ensure all work complies with current codes and safety regulations
-
Run low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings including conduit work and drilling through concrete walls
-
Complete wiring connections and equipment installations in compliance with electrical and fire codes
-
Test and verify functionality of newly installed fire alarm systems and components
-
Troubleshoot installations to ensure proper operation and compliance with local state and federal codes as well as insurance requirements
Requirements:

Fire Alarm License and/or NICET II certification (preferred not required)
-
Willingness and availability to travel as needed
-
Current/valid state-required Physical Security and/or Life Safety license in applicable technology

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site maps
-
Knowledge of NFPA standards including NFPA 70 and NFPA 72
-
Experience with burglar alarms access control and CCTV (a plus)

Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
-
Certification to operate boom/scissor lifts; ability to work at heights
-
Possession of basic telecommunication tools PPE and reliable transportation
-
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years)
