Middle School Site Coordinator
Part-time Monday Friday 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Compensation: $20-22 hourly
The Martin Luther King Community Center (MLK Center) is looking for a passionate committed leader to coordinate our 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) program serving middle school students (grades 68). This role blends youth development family engagement academic enrichment and program leadership in partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools. Funded by the Indiana Department of Education this program gives young people a safe engaging space to learn grow and thrive beyond the school day.

A Day in the Life
As the Middle School Site Coordinator youll spend your afternoons creating meaningful experiences for students leading enrichment activities supporting literacy programming and guiding a small team of youth workers. Youll be the bridge between school staff families and the MLK Center making sure students are supported academically socially and emotionally.
Your mornings and early afternoons may involve planning engaging schedules preparing resources and collaborating with the Literacy Coordinator Wellness Coach team and Program Assistant. Each day at 3:55pm youll pick up students from Broad Ripple Middle School then guide them through homework enrichment and group activities until 6:30pm. Some evenings and weekends youll also plan or host family engagement events helping parents and caregivers connect to the many resources offered at MLK.
This job is active dynamic and sometimes unpredictable and thats what makes it rewarding. Youll need a plan A B and C and the energy to keep up with a room of spirited middle schoolers.

You meet the non-negotiables: a valid drivers license and Child & Youth Care (CYC) Certification (or willingness to obtain within 3-6 months).
