Job Summary

The Billing Clerk is responsible for generating accurate invoices maintaining financial records and ensuring timely billing of goods and services. This position plays a critical role in the companys revenue cycle ensuring clients are billed correctly and payments are tracked efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contract terms (T&M fixed fee percentage of completion etc.).
- Pull proper support.
- Ensure format and/or form align with customer requirements.
Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain and update customer account information.
Address client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Monitor customer aging reports and assist with collections.
Assist in monthly and quarterly financial close processes related to billing.
Ensure compliance with internal policies client contracts and audit requirements.
Assist with other accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Entry level. High school diploma or GED is required. Associates degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a billing clerk or similar role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
