Job Summary
This is a temporary 12-month position at Kutztown University. At this time we do not know if it will become permanent.
This position is primarily responsible for the recruitment of prospective transfer and second-degree students entering the Universitys undergraduate programs. This position requires travel to participate in recruitment events assisting with communication and appointments giving presentations application file review and working with graduate assistants/student workers. This position requires an individual with confidence; strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills; a high level of commitment; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Director supports and advances the mission of the University as an institution dedicated to providing a high-quality education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel for recruiting purposes
- Experience in higher education
- Commitment and ability to work with diverse individuals
- Excellent communication interpersonal and public speaking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience working with transfer students a plus
- Previously was a transfer student in college is a plus
- Ability to form positive connections with essential campus staff (Registrar New Student Orientation)
- Excellent organizational file management analytical and decision-making skills
- Fluency in Spanish
