Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Cardiology

Join a top-tier healthcare facility in Petoskey Michigan recognized for its commitment to providing exceptional cardiac care. We are currently looking for a Board Certified General Cardiologist for a long-term weekend locum tenens assignment. This role involves comprehensive cardiac care in a supportive environment that includes advanced practice providers.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient cardiology coverage from Sunday through Saturday including both hospital and clinic call responsibilities.
Work 24-hour shifts (6am-6am) focusing on inpatient care and call duties with no clinic responsibilities.
Collaborate with a team of three inpatient Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to deliver high-quality care.
Utilize Cerner as the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for documentation and patient management.
Perform essential procedures including echocardiography treadmill stress tests and chemical stress tests.
Interpret diagnostic studies with clarity and thoroughness.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Cardiology (Required)
Active Michigan license in good standing (Required)
Must reside in Michigan or nearby (Required)
Clean background for quick credentialing (Required)
Availability based on the specified dates (Required)
DEA - Verbal confirmation required at name clear (Required)
Completion of employee health requirements including vaccinations and tests.

Licenses and Certifications:

Board Certification in Cardiology (Required)
Active Michigan Licensure (Required)
