Tax Manager Pietermaritzburg
A leading national firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to join our Pietermaritzburg office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the tax function managing a team and ensuring exceptional client service.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the Tax Supervisor and Tax Assistants
Review and approve work submitted by the team
Delegate and monitor tasks to ensure deadlines are met
Handle Tax VAT and PAYE audits
Liaise directly with clients and SARS regarding tax matters and audits
Manage tax assessments and ensure timely communication with clients regarding payments
Provide training and guidance to Tax Assistants and Article Clerks when required
Oversee monthly billing and ensure accuracy
Resolve complex tax-related queries and provide expert advice

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

BCom Degree (essential)
Postgraduate qualification in Taxation (advantageous)
Completed Articles (preferred)
23 years experience in a similar role
Proficient in MS Excel Word and Outlook

Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to compile and interpret reports
