SAP ABAP DEVELOPER - 3208
Location: Gauteng
Contract duration: 01 November 2025 - 21 December 2028

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

5 years experience in relevant programming language (SAP 4Hana)
SAP ABAP
SAP S4/HANA Knowledge (Advantageous)
SAP S/4HANA ABAP
SAP S/4HANA Modelling
SAP S/4HANA FIORI / UI5 Development
On premise or Private Cloud virtualisation technology expertise
Experience in testing (manual or automated testing)
Agile working experience advantageous
Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

German speaking
Willing to travel
Web and digital project experience
Agile working experience
SAP Modules (FI CO SD MM)
SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) advantageous
Problem solving capabilities
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work interdependently as well as independently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

5 years experience in relevant programming language (SAP 4Hana)
SAP ABAP Certification
Degree in computer science or related (advantageous)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Development and maintenance on platform/application
Review and present proposed system solution to IT Product Owner / Business Product Owner
Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards)
Meet with end users and gather requirements
Participate in daily stand-ups
Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required
User training and feedback
Compiling of user and operational manuals
System audits
Understanding of integration between different technologies
Coordination between development and support environments
Assisting with the business case
Planning and monitoring
