BluePearl Pet Hospital in North Dallas TX is hiring a experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!
Pay: Dependent on local veterinary licensing experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.
Competitive Shift Differentials:Earn more with our shift differentials!
- Weekday Night (Mon-Fri 6p to 8a): $3.50
- Weekend Day (Sat-Sun 8a to 6p): $3.50
- Weekend Night (Sat-Sun 6p to 8a): $5.00
As a Neurology VeterinaryTechnician you will:
Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg %/mgetc).
Inducemonitorand recover anesthesia
Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
Discharge neuro patients from the hospital including basic client education such as manual bladder expression sling walking range of motionetc..Providenursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values
Perform call backsand refill medications
Client education gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician
Perform physical exam; accurately count heart pulse rate capillary refill time mucous membranes temperature respiratoryrateand effort.
Understand normal vital parameters
Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture
Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.
Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics

Additional VTS benefits pursuing & established VTS technicians.
Our Continuing Education Plan includes $500/year reimbursement for CVT and $750/year for VTS. The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1500 for CVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
