Job Description

Curant Health the leader in patient-centric chronic disease management via specialty pharmacy is searching for a Patient Engagement Supervisor to join its team in Atlanta GA. We are committed to improving patient health outcomes by offering a pharmacist-managed medication care program comprehensive therapeutic monitoring and dependable home delivery of prescription drugs.

This position is primarily responsible for managing the Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs) and the New Services Coordinator (NSCs). This position supervises plans coordinates and directs staff performances of administrative and clerical duties in support of clinical pharmacy services. The Patient Engagement Supervisor is also responsible for training within the Patient Retention department and preparation of a variety of reports and projects as assigned by their manager. The Patient Engagement Supervisor fills in for the PCCs and the Patient Retention Manager in their absence and is an escalation point for customer service questions and concerns.

This position is also responsible for managing the prescription fulfillment process from inception to delivery by compiling and maintaining patient data to document the patients prescription profiles conditions and treatment.

Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Plans organizes directs and controls activities of the Patient Retention Department.
  • Monitors the PCCs workload and department coverage. Monitor quality in the department and coordinates with PCCs on quality initiatives and expectations.
  • Resolves patient inquiries complaints or concerns regarding their accounts or interactions with the staff.
  • Runs necessary reports for the department to complete their daily audit responsibilities
  • Ensures effective and efficient customer communication and support.
  • Creates clearly defined expectations procedures goals and incentives for each individual within the department
  • Provides training support to new and existing PCC staff.
  • Develops quick reference guides and other reference materials for PCCs as needed.
  • Develops and implements training procedures and documentation for new hires.
  • Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies within the systems and suggests appropriate corrective procedures.
  • Provides a superior patient experience by providing pharmacy customer service to an assigned group of patients.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively both in person and on the phone to a variety of audiences including patients patient care providers physicians pharmacists and staff.
  • Manages outgoing and incoming refill reminder calls to patients and physician offices with chronic diseases.
  • Processes prescriptions as needed.
  • Verifies insurance.
  • Accurately inputs necessary data to keep patient records up to date.
  • Confers with doctors nurses and other health personnel to assure complete current and accurate profile.
  • Analyzes and review data for completeness and accuracy of documentation according to specified standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a pharmacy environment preferred.
  • Two years of PCC or Lead PCC experience preferred.
  • Management or supervisory experience required.
  • Registration (required) and/or Certification (preferred) as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia or required to earn registration within 90 days of employment.
  • PioneerRx software experience is preferred.
