JOB TITLE: Coordinator of Nutrition ComplianceREPORTS TO: Director of NutritionLOCATION: Worcester Public Schools Worcester MassachusettsSummary:The District Compliance Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of compliance for the districts nutrition programs. This role ensures the effective oversight of all USDA Nutrition Program compliance including meal counting and claiming menu compliance develops and delivers comprehensive training programs for all nutrition personnel to maintain program compliance and works to maximize federal and state meal reimbursement while maintaining program integrity. This role is critical in developing standard operating procedures to ensure daily operations are maintaining all USDA guidelines. Key Responsibilities:1. Compliance and Reimbursement Oversight:Develop implement and maintain a robust compliance plan to ensure adherence to all federal (USDA) state and local regulations governing the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) School Breakfast Program (SBP) and other child nutrition and manage the DESE compliance annual requirements including the oversight of direct certification community eligibility provision evaluate student participation in meal programs training and point-of-sale data to ensure accuracy and prevent collaboration with the quadrant coordinators conduct regular district-wide audits of point of sale locations and review administrative records to proactively identify and correct potential compliance issues. Establish standard operating procedures to maintain program compliance in the daily as the primary point of contact for external audits and state agency reviews.2. Training and Professional Development:Design develop and deliver effective training programs for all levels of food service stafffrom quadrant coordinators to frontline personnelon topics including USDA regulations meal counting procedures food safety point of sale requirements civil rights nutrition and customer platform that manages and tracks employee training and development requirements and expiration the districts professional development calendar and ensure all staff meet annual training hour and maintain training materials including handbooks presentations and online modules.3. Personnel Management:Collaborate with quadrant coordinators supervisors and school-based managers to address performance issues related to compliance and operational regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster a culture of accountability and Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Food Service Management Nutrition Public Health or a related field is of 3 years of progressive experience in K-12 school food service with at least 1-2 years focused specifically on compliance USDA regulations and program knowledge of USDA regulations (NSLP SBP). Strong leadership public speaking interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency with food service software data analysis and commitment to diversity equity and organized detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced have the ability to travel within the district as necessary. Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree in Food Service Management Nutrition Public Health or a related with Mosaic Heartland with Workday Enterprise Management with collective bargaining agreements. This is a full-time twelve-month professional position that may require work at times outside of regular work hours to perform responsibilities. Hours required are typically 8:30-4:30pm.
