Technical Writer 2 Part Time

Team Red Dog is looking for a part-time Technical Writer to support our client a leading technology company with their Microsoft 365 privacy documentation efforts. This fully remote and flexible role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact content creation in a highly regulated environment ensuring EU regulators are kept informed of important privacy-related changes. Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

1. Experience with GitHub (2 years) reviewing and comparing documentation versions identifying updates and tracking changes.

2. Proficiency with Microsoft Word (2 years) creating clear well-structured reports that summarize technical documentation updates.

3. Technical writing experience for enterprise admins or IT generalist audiences (2 years) producing content that is simple accurate and engaging.

Opportunity Overview:
This role provides the unique opportunity to work in a highly regulated environment producing content specifically for European Union regulators. The work is critical in helping ensure compliance and transparency by summarizing changes to Microsoft 365 privacy documentation. Its also a chance to gain exposure to a large technical writing team while building skills in privacy compliance and security-focused documentation.

How you will make an impact:
Review updated Microsoft 365 privacy documentation and compare to prior versions.
Summarize key changes into clear concise reports for EU regulators.
Use GitHub to track documentation changes and manage version control.
Collaborate with technical writers and engineering partners in weekly sync meetings.
Deliver weekly documentation change reports in Word format for stakeholders.

The expertise you bring:
2 years of experience creating content for enterprise admins or IT generalists.
2 years of hands-on experience with GitHub.
2 years of technical writing experience using Microsoft Word.
Ability to write clear conversational and engaging technical content.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to ramp up quickly.

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:
The strongest candidates will have prior experience in privacy security or compliance-related writing. They demonstrate excellent attention to detail produce thorough and accurate work and communicate effectively with both peers and stakeholders. A strong portfolio showing well-organized reader-friendly technical documentation is a plus.
