About the Role
Were looking for a Junior Developer to join our Data Acquisition team. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative fast-paced environment while contributing to the systems that power our real-time sports data. Youll work alongside experienced developers and cross-functional teams to help deliver high-quality data to our customers.

What Youll Do
In this role youll support the development and maintenance of software that drives our data acquisition systems. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Assist in developing and testing software solutions that process data from various sources
  • Help validate data quality using internal tools and processes
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain documentation and follow best practices
  • Support the Client Services team in resolving data-related issues
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and team learning initiatives
  • Build strong working relationships across the Data Acquisition and Client Services teams
  • Learn from senior developers and contribute to team discussions and problem-solving

What Youll Bring
Were looking for someone with a strong foundation in software development and a willingness to learn. Ideally youll have:

  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Python Java Scala)
  • Familiarity with Git and version control
  • Basic understanding of databases (relational or NoSQL)
  • Comfort using Linux/Unix command-line tools
  • Awareness of networking concepts (HTTP APIs)
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to grow
  • Good communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to CI/CD Agile development or web automation tools like Selenium or Playwright
