Job Summary
We are seeking a Bridge Designer to join TYLins Bridge this role you will be asked to perform design calculations analysis and detailing of bridges. Within a team atmosphere we plan to foster your knowledge and get you prepared and well-placed to learn and grow!Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis for the design of reinforced/prestressed concrete and steel bridge structures.
- Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans.
- Successfully coordinate with CAD on a frequent basis
- Prepare material quantity calculations.
- Perform load rating analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structures by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET Inc (EAC/ABET).
- Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.
- Engineer-In-Training Certification required. Eligibility and willingness to pass PE test within 1 year required.
- Computer skills desired include Bridge Design Software Computer Aided Drafting (Microstation Connect and OpenBridge preferred).
- 0-5 years of structural design experience - emphasis on bridge structures preferred.
- Requires excellent communication skills both written and oral as well as interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients toughest challenges.
- High levels of integrity always doing the right thing in an ethical fair and sustainable way.
- Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team working together toward technical excellence.
