We are seeking an Accounting Specialist at our Houston TX location. You will be responsible for managing the Sage 300 implementation project and daily/weekly transactional data.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Project lead for the Sage 300 implementation determine Sage capabilities based on company needs schedule and attend meetings pull and organize data perform testing in Sage schedule training sessions for new users etc.
- Journal entries and account reconciliation enter JE s perform reconciliation of multiple accounts research discrepancies.
- Expense reporting and reconciliation work with Assistant Controller to organize and process expense reports.
- Accounts receivable / accounts payable create invoices pay approved invoices from vendors prepare checks.
- Reporting and analysis pull transactional data update existing reports create new reports.
- Purchase orders issue PO s to approved purchasers within AIMS.

Minimal requirements include:
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Accounting.
- Experience implementing SAGE (300 preferred) or experience as a Master User.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word and Excel).
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor s Degree and seven or more years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Above-average customer service and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision making ability.
- Capable of working under time constraints to ensure critical deadlines are met.
Travel for this position is expected to be 0% per year.
This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. The majority of the work is performed in a typical office environment. A variety of tasks do require the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs walk without assistance sit bend stoop kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
