X-Ray Technologist- Radiology (Permanent Role) Location: San Angelo TX 76903
Shift: 10:00 PM - 08:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures including x-rays fluoroscopy and operating OR/C-Arm equipment. The role involves working under the general supervision of a Radiologist to assist in diagnosing disease and injury through quality imaging. Additional responsibilities include EKG phlebotomy vital signs monitoring and ensuring patient care areas are well stocked and prepared.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures fluoroscopy and OR/C-Arm imaging according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Safely operate mobile and stationary x-ray units following ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Assist with room preparation and ensure patient care areas are clean and fully stocked.
- Perform additional clinical duties including EKGs phlebotomy and obtaining vital signs as needed.
- Respond to rotating on-call assignments as required.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License from the State of Texas.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
