Work Location: Onsite CA - Menlo Park

This role will require designing and building scalable backend services authoring and maintaining proper code documentation and creating and following effective processes for partner engagement. An ideal candidate will bring to the table a solid set of technical skills and experience in the scalable backend services space.

Minimum qualifications
- Software engineer with 4-5 years of backend development experience around building maintaining and scaling backend infra and working on large scale systems that serve a large number of users.
- Software development experience in languages and environments such as Java Native Development Kit (C) and/or PHP
- Experience with distributed systems
- Experience with designing building and maintaining scalable backend services and API endpoints
- Experience with SQL and no-SQL databases GraphQL and REST APIs

- Proven experience communication analytical collaboration and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to design and build scalable backend services and APIs
Implement and maintain database synchronization solutions across multiple cloud providers to ensure data consistency and high availability
Provide and manage an API for handling high-traffic push notifications to ensure reliable and scalable delivery
Deliver a personalized feed to client devices through an API leveraging organized data ingested by a ranking service
Design and manage an API that empowers users to customize their experience by selecting preferences enabling dynamic content recommendations and automated interest tracking for relevant items
Help partners integrate their apps/services on to Meta family of Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality devices including but not limited to Meta Quest headsets and RayBan Meta Glasses
Work closely with partner technical teams to integrate with Partner APIs and services
Develop a robust understanding of the various Meta Reality Labs platforms/APIs and underlying implementations
Ensure great documentation and best practices are created to collaborate with partners

Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of scalable data pipelines and experience with ETL pipelines
- Proven expertise in debugging and maintaining scalable services and APIs
