ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Manager Convergence Security Global Lead is responsible for protecting Pfizers colleagues patients and business activities and assets. This position integrates digital including cyber and physical security into a holistic approach to develop and deliver integrated security risk mitigation measures to strengthen protection of our people sites products brand and collaboration with our Digital client partner and creation center senior leadership this position will design engineer implement and project manage cutting edge physical security systems within the company digital ecosystem incorporating AI solutions to support holistic physical security risk mitigation strategies supporting business continuity compliance and operational efficiencies. Based on company physical and technical site-based security standards (internal & external) this position will interface across the digital and physical security environments on a global scale to ensure systems are secure scalable and aligned to company standards and meet all international GDPR requirements.

The Senior Manager Convergence Security Global Lead is a senior technical security trusted advisor to all regional Global Security colleagues and associated global business partners. Additionally in collaboration with the Product Integrity for Patient Safety (PIPS) team and the Pfizer Resilience Center (PRC) this position supports product integrity investigations and colleague & site security actions performed by the PRC.

The Senior Manager Security Convergence Lead will facilitate key business unit requests and cultivate internal partnerships with GS colleagues business functions business leaders including Country Presidents (CP) Cluster Leads (CL) Country Managers (CM) Site Leaders (SL) Site and Information Security Officers (SSO and ISO) to support GS and Pfizer business in the region. This position acts as a Global Security single global point of contact for selected business partners and sites in a designated area of responsibility.

The Senior Manager Convergence Security Global Lead reports to the Senior Director Physical Risk Mitigation Global Security and will interact closely with GWE colleagues worldwide.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains an excellent working relationship with all Pfizer business leaders including CPs CLs CMs SLs SSOs and ISOs; as well as with all GS colleagues. Quickly develops understanding of and engagement with Pfizer Corporate and Regional leadership essential to performance in their position. Serves as a Global Security Point of Contact (GSPOC) for Pfizer sites in the designated region. Recognized as a regional security subject matter expert providing leadership and support.

  • Evaluate the organizations global security technology platforms and seek cutting-edge digitally supported global scalable security solutions

  • Provide guidance to sites globally on procurement of security assets and services including standard equipment and preferred partners.

  • Act as global subject matter expert for building access control systems and credentials including driving standardization and best practices.

  • In collaboration with our Digital partners lead internal AI enablement strategy decision support and enablement to enhance colleague & site security in support of our companys purpose.

  • Work with Digital to ensure new AI use cases and technology go through appropriate internal approvals that ensure alignment with Pfizer policy and legal regulations around privacy ethics and security.

  • Scale AI-powered tooling across Global Security physical security platforms monitor and track efficiencies via dashboards and tracking mechanisms.

  • Drive measurable improvements to Global Securitys physical security technology platforms ensuring architectural resilience and operational certainty.

  • Manage security platform(s) lifecycles; measure systems health and global as well as site based operational efficiencies.

  • Actively pursues innovative security technologies; stays abreast of changing industry standards and enhanced technologies

  • Coordinate with Digital to seek and implement system integrations across building technologies for unified control

  • Collaborate with company sourcing to drive value and volume savings pertaining to manufacturers products security integrators services and overall contract execution.

  • Develop and deliver security systems technical training; ensure systems competence with the Site Security Officer network.

  • Develop and manage metrics procedures and programs to manage operational efficiencies desired systems outcomes and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Prepare project budget proposals; evaluate and recommend the purchase of software equipment and materials

  • Apply security technical expertise to assist regional sites implement company standard technologies. Supports Regional GSPOCs with project design reviews CPA endorsement and security project scoping and financial oversight.

  • Lead manage supervise and initiate decision making associated with the Global Technical Security Standards which support the Minimum-Security Requirements (MSR).

  • Implement the Global Security Physical Risk Mitigation Program in your area of responsibility which conducts regionally based site assessments to ensure compliance with the Global Security MSR and Third-Party Security Requirements at both internal Pfizer Sites as well as 3rd party Contracted Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and Logistic Service Providers (LSPs). Manage & monitor security assessment remediation plan(s) completion. Collaborates with the PRM Assessment Program Lead.

  • Support investigations across functional groups such as People Experience Compliance Legal and Employee Relations.

  • Chair multidisciplinary teams for short duration projects focused on compliance regulatory or threat-based initiatives.

  • Serve as a security services governance member facilitating consistent man-guarding contractual obligations global/site KPIs billing guidelines and client satisfaction. Promote innovation to increase value-based service for both company and supplier.

  • Present safety security and crisis management training to Country Managers Site Leaders Site Security Officers and on occasion to colleagues with business related security concerns.

  • Advise crisis management teams plans and activities per CP 119 Crisis Management; serve as an advisor between the site/country crisis management leader/teams and the corporate crisis management team. Participates on CM teams in coordination with CM Leader/Coordinator as requested.

  • Supports SL/CM in SSO selection/evaluation completes SSO onboarding/offboarding for AOR and integration into global SSO network; promote the SSO role within all core business functions. Maintains close collaboration with AOR SSOs; POC for operational inquiries.

  • Actions SIR reviews and follow-ups in individual AOR as per CP 118 Security Incident Reporting. Coordinates Site Security Plans and Site - Profiles reviews with AOR SSOs. Supports CP 117- Workplace Violence Intervention Program requirements across sites.

  • Provide threat analysis and appropriate guidance on security planning to support meeting & event security requirements.

  • Evaluate SL/CM protection posture at country offices as required. Coordinates with business leaders and vendors to achieve appropriate key stakeholder risk-based protection. Coordinates with BU for funding requirements.

  • Support colleague travel security; provides high risk travel security assessment and oversight

  • Ensure security risks and threats to the business are understood assessed and accepted by the business or countered effectively in coordination with the relevant GS counterparts. Work collaboratively with the relevant business units to achieve best practice and appropriate integration. Elevate issues as needed if consensus isnt achieved.

  • Operate at a senior level with the proven ability to work cross-functionally influencing others at all levels. There will be a strong focus on working with the local Pfizer business operation briefing Senior Management on security issues both internal and external to the company and providing accurate opinions and objective analyses for resolution.

  • Act independently with time and resources to be a trusted advisor to regional business stakeholders address local security/risk concerns support site crisis management plans and training evaluate country managers protection posture and maintain a cooperative working relationship with law enforcement officials in the designated region. Provides executive protection for Pfizer executives visiting the area of responsibility.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6 years security and security system engineering experience with demonstrated leadership experience within the private sector corporate security.

  • Bachelors degree

  • Technical certification or vocational training in security systems installation and integration

  • Experience in AI platforms capabilities and services

  • Experience managing security integrators vendors and global projects

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the enterprise security risk management (ESRM) model.

  • Working knowledge of U.S. DEA regulations with emphasis on U.S. DEA Schedule I-V type products and chemicals of interest.

  • Experience interacting with State and Federal regulatory officials.

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues and develop CAPAs.

  • Competent writer of corporate procedures and communications

  • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively and effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Individual must be an effective change agent with highly developed problem-resolution skills.

  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently and initiate proactively.

  • Capability to create deliver and provide training to internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership

  • Must be able to read write and speak English fluently.

  • Proficient with computer software that can support operational needs and communicate results to the business leaders i.e. MS Office Excel PowerPoint Tableau Business Objects etc.

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional certification such as CPP or PSP.

  • Experience with Lenel S2 physical access control system; HID badge and reader technology

  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing/Good Distribution practices and other regulatory requirements.

  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience managing site security operations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer software that can support operational needs and communicate results to the business leaders

  • Demonstrated proficiency using outcome metrics to measure performance and return on investment to successfully articulate value of security/investigative operations to business partners

  • Experience managing third parties including investigative agencies security operations and customer-oriented security programs

  • Experience in executive protection operations

  • Experience in budget management to ensure that security services provided are cost effective

  • High business acumen

  • Demonstrated experience in working and thriving in a team environment

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with organizational senior leaders and high-level government officials

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Position involves both long periods of desk computer and phone work but also regular domestic and international travel for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in highly collaborative and matrixed environment.

  • Must be able to manage an aggressive workload in a high performing environment with minimal supervision.

  • Innovative thinker with mental flexibility to address unexpected security challenges and investigations at all hours.

  • Ability to travel both domestically and foreign in all modes of transportation on short notice.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • 40-hour work-week with schedule flexibility. Must have flexible availability including holidays nights and weekends to respond to investigative and security needs and ability to travel outside of normal working hours.

  • There is regular travel associated with this position both domestic and foreign. Travel is occasional on very short notice and includes nights and weekends on occasion. Travel may extend to a week or more

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $135100.00 to $225100.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
