Job Description
As a key member of GFLs Business Development team the Account Manager will play a critical role in strengthening client relationships and expanding our market presence. This role is focused on driving new businessboth from prospective and existing clientswhile reinforcing our reputation as a leader in the industry. The primary focus will be on growing our customer base within our Vacuum Truck and Industrial Services divisions.
Job Duties:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
- Assess customer needs and deliver tailored solutions by leveraging a deep understanding of our full range of service offerings.
- Consistently represent GFL in a professional and positive manner to strengthen brand reputation and visibility.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and operations teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Gather and report on market intelligence including competitor activity and pricing strategies.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to meet or exceed growth and development targets.
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 70% travel 30% office-based).
Requirements:
- Proven business development experience in a competitive fast-paced industry or relevant technical experience on industrial sites even outside of a direct sales role.
- Background in the waste management or industrial services sector is an asset particularly with large complex sites requiring integrated service solutions.
- A strong drive for business excellence with outstanding follow-through and attention to detail.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with industrial services such as shutdowns and turnarounds is an asset but not required.
