Enjoy the Seacoast lifestyle near Portsmouth and UNH NHRS pension eligibility competitive benefits and the advantage of no state income tax on Opportunity (Job Goal & Impact)The District Special Education Administrative Assistant works closely with the Director of Student Services to manage the day-to-day operations of the Districts Student Services Department including transportation financial responsibilities (local budget federal grant Medicaid to Schools Special Education Aid) state and federal reporting and special education compliance. This position supports the district special education staff in various ways including assisting with scheduling special education file maintenance and managing data in NHSEIS (NH Special Education Information System).Provide high-impact administrative support to the Districts Special Education/Student Services team to ensure timely compliant services for with educators and service providers using SMART goals and quarterly check-ins to drive continuous improvement in processes and ResponsibilitiesSupport the Director of Student Services/Special Education and program coordinators with day-to-day operations and and manage IDEA/Section 504 timelines (IEP annual reviews evaluations re-evaluations); maintain shared calendars and compliance distribute collect and archive special education documentation (meeting notices consent forms IEPs progress reports) in accordance with IDEA and accurate data and reports in NHSEIS and the student information system; assist with state and federal reporting meetings and evaluations (scheduling team members interpreters related service providers; reserving rooms; arranging substitutes as needed).Serve as a professional responsive point of contact for families staff and outside agencies; route inquiries and follow-ups billing/reimbursement workflows (e.g. Medicaid to Schools) and vendor onboarding/PO paperwork as assigned.
