We are looking for a skilled and dependable Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of flooring materials and installation techniques. This role requires attention to detail problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Measure cut and install flooring materials such as carpet vinyl plank (LVP) hardwood tile laminate and other specialty surfaces.
- Remove existing flooring and prepare subfloors by cleaning leveling patching or sanding.
- Follow work orders blueprints and customer specifications to ensure accurate installations.
- Operate hand tools power tools and installation equipment safely and effectively.
- Communicate clearly with customers contractors and team members regarding project timelines and expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment including proper disposal of old flooring and debris.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry best practices.
- Provide excellent customer service and professionally represent the company at all times.
- Proven experience as a flooring installer or in a related construction trade preferred.
- Knowledge of flooring types adhesives and installation techniques.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs) and work on hands and knees for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with moisture testing underlayment and floor preparation.
- Familiarity with commercial and residential installation projects.
- Certification or training in flooring installation (IICRC CFI NWFA or similar) a plus.
- Competitive hourly wage or salary (based on experience).
