Commissioning Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be reporting to the Business Manager - Portfolio and will be responsible for on-site robot debugging which includes robot system commission functional program module writing process debugging and problem handling.

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area for Robot Automotive Division based in Bangalore India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Manage and monitor paint shop projects throughout the execution phase until Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) is obtained.
• Achieve and maintain paint process parameters such as DFT gloss and color values including support for underbody coating and spray applications.
• Program and debug industrial robots for applications like spraying gluing flaming blowing wiping and film thickness detection along with hands-on experience in robot disassembly and maintenance.
• Operate and maintain vision measuring systems and independently perform robot simulations for new model introductions.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Paint technology/Chemical engineering/Mechanical.
• Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in Automation & Paint shops.
• Ability to Paint robot system commission functional program module writing process debugging and problem handling.
• In depth knowledge of Atomizers/Spray gun and gluing flaming blowing wipe film thickness detection.
• Familiar with Sealant equipment like ABB IDFP Graco PCF SCA Dozer and Powder coating/Solvent borne paints/water borne paint knowledge.
• Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative learning & solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
