Job Summary
Assignment Dates: Estimated January 19 2026 April 17 2026 (may start earlier and/or be extended based on school needs)Overview:The Long-Term Middle School Social Studies Substitute will teach Geography and History to middle school students. Curriculum maps and many lesson materials will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to contribute to a strong faith-based academic :Plan and deliver lessons assignments and instructional materialsSupport the philosophy values and teachings of a Catholic educationCollaborate with the Middle School Team to help all students achieve their goalsEstablish a positive classroom culture that reflects the schools Catholic missionAdapt teaching methods to meet students varying needsMonitor care and appropriate use of equipment textbooks and materialsCommunicate with parents and students regarding progress and challengesComplete record-keeping and administrative duties in a timely mannerParticipate in staff faculty and family meetings and professional development opportunitiesPerform other duties as assigned by the principalQualifications:Experience teaching middle school Social Studies or related subject areasStrong classroom management and organizational skillsAbility to adapt instruction for diverse learners
