Job Summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance Team!

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for directing the hospitals accounting operations ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting maintaining internal controls and supporting compliance with applicable laws regulations and accounting standards. This position is responsible for assisting the accounting team with the daily and monthly reconciliation of cash receipts among many AR systems. Conducts the preparation of monthly balancing reports and distributes to Senior Leadership. Updates the Accounting Team regarding issues and trends; communicates new information in a clear concise and accurate manner with continued monitoring of issues until resolved. Assist with preparation and data requests for annual and monthly financial audits. The Senior Accountant will need to project a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of the Hospital and employees as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.
  • Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Expert knowledge of managing & balancing multiple spreadsheets.
  • Proficient in computer skills including MS Office Suite (Excel Word and Outlook).
  • Great communication skills both oral and written.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related discipline required.
  • Knowledge of professional standards and regulations.
  • Ten years of accounting experience required.
  • Healthcare accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
