As a Senior Accountant supporting efforts you will support the following areas:
- Maintain the general ledger for Online schools in different states
- Complete required state reporting related to the school financials
- Work with the Head of School as needed on accounting / reporting issues
- Assist with accounting setup of new Online schools
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and propose any needed adjustments
- Identify efficiencies in existing processes and propose solutions
- Assist with putting additional controls and processes in place
- Respond to financial related inquiries in a timely manner
- Provide essential support during month-end close and the annual school audits
- Engage in special projects
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Report to Accounting Supervisor or Accounting Manager
About You
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5 Years of accounting experience
Experience Guidelines:
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel as well as other Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of and proficiency in an ERP system
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships with all levels
- Ability to perform highly detailed work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated history of problem solving
- Ability to work both independently and within a team for a dynamic growing company
