About the Opportunity:

As a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant (also known as Diversional therapist / Recreational Officer) you will work under Leisure & lifestyle coordinator to promote maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of residents. You will be assisting team in the development of a range of programs to suit the individual needs and preferences of residents within households. Our commitment is to listen to each resident understand who each person is - a unique individual who we respect and treat with kindness and compassion.

Things that work for us:
Availability to work full time Monday to Friday
Certificate in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy. Other relevant certificate in aged care may be acceptable.
Experience in an aged care home implementing Leisure & Lifestyle programs including working with people with dementia
Good team work
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
Experience with Autumn Care (or similar software) with ability to maintain excellent records
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) is mandatory
