Job Summary
The Role
We are looking for a talented and driven Chef de Partie to join our in-house Catering team and support the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our employees and clients. This is a full-time permanent role based in Perth. Ordinary working hours will be Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm however some flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required on occasion.
The Chef de Partie will work collaboratively with the broader Catering team across day-to-day kitchen operations ensuring that our dining and catering services are executed to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role that will involve cooking food preparation menu planning and maintaining a safe efficient and positive kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in the preparation of food for:
- Client functions and events
- Staff events including morning and afternoon teas
- Working lunches
- Our on-site café
- Assist in the preparation of menus for all meals and catered events
- Mentor and train kitchen staff ensuring smooth and efficient food production
- Ensure food is prepared and presented according to company standards while maintaining consistency and quality
- Oversee kitchen hygiene cleanliness and compliance with WA health and safety regulations
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment inventory and stock levels
- Manage food waste and maintain cost-effective operations
- Assist with online ordering invoicing and pricing
- Step in for the Soud Chef when required ensuring seamless kitchen operations
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant hospitality/culinary qualification
- 3 years full time employment experience in a fine dining corporate or catering environment
- Passion for producing high quality well-presented food
- Strong knowledge of day-to-day kitchen operations (including invoicing) and unwavering adherence to food safety hygiene and allergen protocols
- Strong work ethic and an ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent team work skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
