How will you make an impact in this role

Reporting to the EMEA Enterprise Initiatives Manager the EMEA Enterprise Initiatives Analyst will be primarily focused on the coordination and oversight of multiple enterprise GFCC workstreams across EMEA.

Responsabilities:

  • Assist the EMEA Enterprise Manager EMEA FC Enterprise Initiatives on the coordination and oversight of the execution of enterprise initiatives linked with the American Express Global Financial Crime Risk Management Program for the EMEA Region.
  • Monitor regional progress on the global enterprise compliance initiatives by tracking associated activities milestones and deliverables and by proactively flagging and escalating scope changes and resource needs if required.
  • Centralize and coordinate the execution of any internal request for advice / input to feed global and/or regional assessments in representation of the EMEA region on enterprise projects interacting with relevant stakeholders in order to receive their input and define clear outcomes and solutions to address regulatory and enterprise requirements and standards.
  • Ensure harmonization of compliance strategies across the EMEA Region while guaranteeing consistency with the EU AML Package in close partnership and collaboration with local LECOs.
  • Synchronize effort and collaborate with key partners and colleagues across GFCC & GFCSU Technology Operations Business Line Compliance & LECOs GCO and 1LoD teams to ensure alignment.
  • Ensure proper tracking of information and inputs developing a standard approach to ensure consistency across EMEA.
  • Facilitate clear communication between project teams ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Contribute to a positive collaborative culture with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Provide appropriate communications to Compliance senior leaders on the project progresses and escalate potential issues or delays.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of FinCrime (AML/CFT Sanctions) Supranational/EU experience as compliance advisor within financial services industry / payment institutions / law firms.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and presentations skills.
  • Must be able to take initiative in resolving compliance issues in a constructive manner adapting to a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership skills & behaviors in line with American Express Blue Box Values.
  • Fluency in English is a must.

Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the Spain is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
