About the role
Provide expert lab services supporting clinical trials public health research biobanking and cutting-edge translational projects at the NSW State Reference Laboratory for HIV.
Carry out advanced biospecimen processingcryopreservation viable cell fractionation and careful handling of various human biospecimens.
Manage highly traceable inventory and prepare biohazardous shipments in line with strict safety and transport regulations.
Perform complex analytical tests on esoteric biomarkers ensuring all work complies with NATA NPAAC and TGA standards.
Maintain accurate documentation QA/QC and calibration to deliver reliable results recognised both nationally and internationally.
About you
Genuine integrity and a strong commitment to the Philosophy Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincents Health Australia.
Tertiary-qualified in a science or technical field related to pathology with hands-on experience in clinical labs or infectious disease research.
Clear and confident communicator organised multitasker and skilled at managing logistics and engaging diverse stakeholders.
Adaptable and flexible ready to shift gears and embrace changing work demands.
Tech-savvy with skills in desktop publishing report writing database basics and workplace health and safety knowledge.
