Position Description
POSITION TITLE: SystemsAdministrator
QUALIFICATIONS:
Detailed knowledge of wired/wireless networking technologies and components
Strong knowledge of storage backup methodologies and practices
Good oral and written communication skills
Experience using automated deployment and maintenance technologies
Experiencewith student information systems
Ability to diagnose complex networking and server issues
Experience supporting converged voice video and data networks (VLANs)
Experiencewith firewalls and content filtering
Experiencewith Google Admin console
Experience with printers/copiers
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs to a height of up to 4 feet occasionally
REPORTS TO: Director of Technology
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month position with benefits
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Effectively diagnose and troubleshoot computer malfunction relating to faulty hardware software server and/or network.
Maintain and oversee quality of backups of all district servers.
Implement maintain and oversee district firewall and content filters.
Implement maintain and oversee networking changes.
Communicate effectively with staff and students regarding maintenance of various technologies.
Implement quality control procedures to improve uptime of network and server devices.
Deploy and maintain server operating systems and software.
Provide security as it relates to Windows Server Network Virtual and Physical Infrastructure needs.
Provide network support including installation of network hardware software systems documentation and training.
Install configure document and maintainVoIP systems.
- Install configure document and maintain security camera systems.
OTHER PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct training as necessary for staff in the proper use of technology equipment.
Coordinate with Technology Department team members to design and implement automated deployment and maintenance technologies.
Coordinate with the Director of Technology in cross-training.
Make recommendations for Server and Network equipment purchases.
Research and implement preventative maintenance procedures for district technology devices.
Attend training as required by administration.
