Job Description

Summary

A brilliant opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of a training product portfolio within a global learning business. This role will be responsible for developing optimising and managing a suite of learning solutions that respond to market needs deliver strong commercial results and maintain a competitive edge.

Acting as the bridge between strategy and execution the Product Manager will combine product planning market research and delivery oversight working closely with solution engineers learning designers sales teams and subject matter experts. This is a pivotal role ensuring training solutions are commercially successful market-relevant and scalable.
  • Own and maintain the product roadmap ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Identify risks in product delivery or market alignment and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prioritise initiatives based on ROI market demand and strategic value.
  • Use project management tools (e.g. ) to track and communicate progress.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Gather insights from internal teams clients and stakeholders to shape offerings.
  • Analyse commercial performance of training products and recommend improvements.
  • Develop go-to-market plans for new or refreshed products and support sales teams with adoption.
  • Manage training outlines and ensure they progress through the development pipeline.
  • Oversee review processes to ensure content accuracy quality and timely delivery.
  • Assign and coordinate SMEs to review content and maintain accountability for deadlines.
  • Build scalability in review and development processes to support business growth.
  • Monitor product usage sales data and learner feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Optimise the product portfolio by enhancing high-performing products and retiring low-value ones.
  • Provide reporting and visibility into product performance and pipeline to support leadership decisions.

Qualifications


Education

Degree (or equivalent experience) in business education learning technologies or a related field.
Project management certification (desirable).

Experience

Experience within a commercial training provider or learning solutions vendor in a Product Manager role.
Demonstrable track record in managing training product portfolios.
Proven ability to deliver successful learning products from concept to launch.
Previous exposure to global markets and diverse client bases (desirable).

Skills

  • Strong product management skills within training education or B2B learning solutions.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in vendor-side training businesses.
  • Excellent understanding of product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to conduct and apply market and competitor research.
  • Skilled in working with cross-functional teams (e.g. SMEs instructional designers sales marketing).
  • Proficiency in project management and planning tools (e.g. ).
  • Strong communication collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with instructional design learning platforms (LMS/LXP) and authoring tools (e.g. Articulate) is desirable.
