Job Summary

Oversee and approve journals reconciliations and trial balances to ensure strong control of ledgers
Lead month-end and year-end close delivering accurate management and financial reporting
Review financial controls and oversee compliance with accounting standards
Partner with commercial finance teams to review results revenue recognition and client profitability
Monitor and manage intercompany balances and ensure timely resolution of variances
Support the preparation of statutory accounts and group reporting requirements
Upload and maintain budgets in financial systems ensuring alignment with business targets
Drive process improvement initiatives enhancing efficiency and control frameworks
Coordinate internal and external audit requirements ensuring timely and accurate information
Provide leadership and direction to the finance team ensuring delivery against performance objectives
Skills & Experience:
Qualified Accountant with professional designation CA(SA) / CIMA / AGA(SA) / PA(SA)
Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and proven experience in complex reporting environments
Skilled in ERP and consolidation systems
Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office capability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse teams
Track record of process improvement and strengthening financial controls
Qualification:
CA(SA)
OR relevant degree in finance with completed articles and relevant finance designation ie AGA(SA) / CIMA / PA(SA)
