As part of an amazing network of 100 Road Assist team members youll share your genuine passion for helping others by providing friendly and professional roadside mechanical assistance or towing services to members of BCAA and affiliated clubs.
We are currently hiring a Temporary Full-Time Associate Fleet Technician based in our Burnaby Depot Location!
This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension or permanent conversion based on performance and operational needs. This Temporary Full-Time role is 5 days a week providing roadside service across the Lower Mainland. The position is based at our Burnaby Depot (5590 Goring Street Burnaby). Applicants must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley area.
As an Associate Fleet Technician (aka Auto Mechanic) youll be one of the first faces people see when they need help. As part of an outstanding network Road Assist team members youll provide friendly and professional roadside assistance or towing services to members of BCAA and affiliated clubs.

What youll do
Deliver exceptional service by responding promptly to Members requests for assistance.
Provide roadside support including battery boosts tire changes lockout services and fuel delivery when needed.
Maintain BCAAs high standards of service and brand image through friendly courteous interactions.
Promote BCAA and affiliate products and services to Members.
Ensure proper care control and documentation of BCAA equipment.
Follow all corporate standards and operational procedures.
Support and foster a Safety First culture adhering to safety policies and procedures at all times.
Serve as a role model and advocate for safety to all BCAA fleet members.
What youve done
Completed your high school diploma and a certificate in a relevant field.
Up to 2 years of mechanical experience preferably within automotive or towing and recovery or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Youre a confident driver with a clean BC Driver License Class 5.
A proven track record in dealing with customer issues.
Capable of safely lifting at least 70lbs during Member service while prioritizing safety throughout the process.
Youre confident using technology (laptops tablets and smartphones) and have strong English communication skills. A second language is an asset.
Fabrication or millwright experience is a bonus!
The hourly range for this position is $28.18to $35.23and is determined viajob-related knowledge skills experience certifications market demand and internal addition to base salary and BCAA benefits this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5% with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
