Job Summary

DUE DATE: 10/3/2025

Duration of engagement: 30 months
Location: Albany NY (50% Onsite)

Targeted start: 10/22/2025

Day-to-day tasks:

Identify and resolve all issues related to hardware and software for the project.
Major participation in the creation monitoring and reporting of required application upgrades.
Participate in all phases of system development activities: requirement gathering design development testing and deployment.

IT Specialist: ITS Human Services Portfolio-WRTW and RFI Section-Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer project

Works in the field of Information Technology experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.

Expert 84 months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

1. 84 months experience performing application development work in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL using Oracle 12c against a very large database containing more than 300 tables utilizing complex business rules

2. 84 months experience performing development work using MF COBOL and/or Client COBOL.

3. 60 months experience performing application development work using COGNOS and/or any reporting tools to design and maintain application reports.

4. 60 months experience monitoring a 24/7 production schedule of approximately 250 jobs a month. Respond to communications from production control staff and resolve any operational problems

5. 60 months experience creating production environment runbooks using a shell scripting tool with Perl scripting preferred.
