Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Backlog Ownership: Build manage and continuously refine the product backlog for the Enterprise Data & Analytics team in a retail context.
  • Requirement Synthesis: Partner with multiple teams to gather interpret and synthesize data enablement requirements into actionable features and stories.
  • Product Development: Translate partner requests into structured data products identifying opportunities to generalize solutions rather than building one-offs.
  • Metrics-Driven Decisions: Leverage data KPIs and analytical insights to validate assumptions prioritize initiatives and measure success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners business stakeholders and technical teams to align on priorities and deliver data products that meet business needs.
  • Communication: Clearly and confidently articulate product goals progress and value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Prioritization: Balance competing demands from partner teams and ensure decisions align with broader enterprise data strategy.
  • Agility: Lead sprint planning backlog grooming and Agile ceremonies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Mindset: Define and evolve the roadmap for data products balancing immediate business needs with long-term scalability.

Qualifications

  • 6 10 years of experience in Product Management or Product Owner for Data Product Ownership preferably in the retail domain.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise data and analytics backlogs and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms data enablement data modeling data pipeline and data governance.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and product management tools (e.g. Jira Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills able to bridge technical and business worlds.
  • Skilled at using data and metrics to drive product decisions and evaluate outcomes.
  • Self-motivated proactive and creative thinker with a track record of building scalable impactful solutions.
