Position: Executive Chef
Location: Stamford Plaza Brisbane
Stamford Plaza Brisbane is seeking a passionate driven and creative Executive Chef to lead and inspire our talented kitchen team across multiple outlets including our restaurants bars room service and conference & event spaces.
This is an exciting hands-on leadership role ideal for someone ready to bring innovation to the plate while maintaining the exceptional quality and high standards Stamford is known for. Reporting to the General Manager and as a key member of the management team you will be accountable for the performance of Kitchen from finance to products and service perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a dedicated kitchen brigade across all culinary operations
- Have full creative control over menu design planning and innovation
- Oversee all food preparation and presentation ensuring consistency and excellence
- Maintain and enforce hygiene and safety standards in accordance with HACCP
- Manage food costs stock control and departmental budgets
- Coordinate day-to-day operations across restaurant in-room dining and banquets
- Drive team engagement and foster a culture of continuous development
- Collaborate with other department leaders including Food & Beverage Events and Sales & Marketing
- Identify and respond to current food trends and customer expectations
- Actively participate in food and beverage marketing initiatives and promotions
What Were Looking For:
- Proven success as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a multi-outlet hotel or similar environment
- Strong leadership coaching and mentoring abilities
- A passion for culinary creativity and customer satisfaction
- In-depth understanding of food cost management wastage control and labour planning
- A commitment to team training development and succession planning
- Knowledge of environmental and food safety compliance standards
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style
