Job Description:
  • The end-client is seeking a detail oriented and proactive System Admin and Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in Windows Administration.
  • The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their IT infrastructure and support services.
  • This position requires a blend of technical expertise and operational acumen to enhance our operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Windows server environments ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Windows operating systems.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions for Windows servers.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation including procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members on Windows Administration best practices.
  • Participate in incident management and problem resolution processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Administration including server setup configuration and maintenance.
  • Experience with Active Directory Group Policy and Windows Server environments.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Windows related issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware Hyper V).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g. Azure AWS) is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Operations Management with a focus on Windows Administration.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSA MCSE) are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
