Job Description

Job Title: Training/Education Specialist Exempt
Client: Medtronic
Location: Jacksonville FL 32216
Duration: 2 Years (with possibility of extension)
Shift: 1st Shift Weekdays 7:00 AM 6:00 PM Part-Time (20 30 hrs/week)

Role Overview

This role supports the Medtronic Training Center in operating and maintaining a bioskills lab used for ENT surgeon training sales training and R&D/VOC sessions. It is a hands-on position involving cadaver tissue lab operations and equipment setup. Candidates with backgrounds in nursing surgical scrub technology or medical education are highly preferred.

  • Hands-on bioskills lab or OR experience (cadaver tissue handling PPE bloodborne pathogen protocols).
  • Strong technical/mechanical skills with lab and OR equipment (microscopes navigation AV instrumentation).
  • Background in nursing surgical scrub tech or medical education with strong organizational and customer service abilities.

Top 3 Responsibilities

  1. Manage day-to-day lab operations: equipment setup specimen handling inventory and safety compliance.
  2. Support and lead onsite surgeon training sales training and R&D/VOC sessions.
  3. Coordinate logistics: shipping/receiving equipment handling registrations (Cvent) and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

Years of Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting cadaveric labs OR environments or medical education programs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan develop and coordinate in-house product training programs for field support staff and customers.
  • Prepare training materials (including cadaveric programs) determine methodologies and develop training aids.
  • Ensure training programs align with company and customer objectives.
  • Maintain customer communication to ensure training effectiveness.
  • Lead lab readiness efforts including compliance with biosafety and bloodborne pathogen protocols.
  • Deliver projects independently with general supervision; may mentor junior staff.
  • Coordinate cross-functional assignments and provide input to improve training systems and processes.
  • Ensure audit-ready records safety standards and operational excellence.

Required Knowledge & Education

  • Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence typically obtained through advanced education plus relevant experience.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent clinical/technical certification preferred.
