Job Summary

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

Supervise account coding and verify signatures for proper assignment of budgetary expenditures.
Ensure that all month-end financial duties and resulting financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Record all business transactions process accruals and adjustments reconcile accounts and prepare monthly quarterly and annual accounting and financial statements.
Prepare financial statements and bank reconciliations.
Assist in developing and maintaining policy and procedures relating to financial and accounting issues.
Assist General Manager of Keethanow Group of Business in audit conducted by third parties to ensure effective resolution and swift closure of auditing activities.
Investigate variances in budgets reporting internal controls and general accounting; deploy measures to resolve variances.
Supervise financial activities including accounts payable accounts receivable general accounting financial planning and reporting.
Assist General Manager of Keethanow Group of Business in the preparation and recording of the Departmental budgets into the Accounting Systems.
Supervise and assist in the development and maintenance of accounting files and records.

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Degree or a diploma in finance management.
Five years of experience in finance and administration.
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles tax laws financial regulations and Internal Controls.
Demonstrated time management skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
High level of integrity and attention to details.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Leadership and coaching skills considered an asset.
Advanced Proficiency with accounting Softwares (Retail POS AI Accounting Sofware Sage 300 Payworks) and Microsoft Excel.
Experience of process Automations would be an asset.
Compliance oriented.
Auditing experience.
Strong analytical skillsorganizational and problem-solving skills
MUSTprovide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check a Vulnerable Sector check
MUSThave Class 5 Driver License.
