Be a part of our mission to support First Nations in achieving their financial goals and enhancing their administrative ApplyFlexible work hours and a 37.5-hour work weekAbove average wellness days and holidaysOpportunities for professional development and career growthA talented diverse and inclusive team doing transformative work on a national scaleRemote and hybrid work opportunities availableWhat You Will DoDevelop relationships with assigned clients that have an approved Financial Administration trust and secure buy-in to implement their FAL and ultimately prepare for FMS the FMS Support Services needs assessment and identify opportunities for remote accounting and training the Senior Financial Officer develop a training plan based on the information provided in the initial needs a remote accounting service schedule based on the priorities identified in the FMS Support Services readiness First Nation FAL clients to achieve FMS certification via full cycle remote accounting services training and capacity any other tasks as requested by FMS Support Services management You AreA Degree in Finance Accounting Economics or another business-related field; A CPA designation or progress towards a CPA designation considered an have a minimum of 5 years experience in providing financial services including reporting funding agreements and internal controls preferably within an Indigenous government or not for profit experience working with Microsoft Office and information and data management systems; Sage 300 an working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting have an understanding awareness and appreciation of Indigenous culture and history; Willing to participate in ongoing education and training for the role including Indigenous be fluent in English (spoken and written) French (spoken and written) an or relevant education and/or experience may be to ExpectFMB aims to keep the recruitment process as open as possible.
