As Training Officer youll play a vital role in helping staff at Lansdowne Secure Childrens Home feel supported skilled and inspired in their work. From welcoming new colleagues through inductions to keeping everyones knowledge fresh with refresher sessions youll make sure staff have the confidence and tools they need to do their best. Youll also be on hand to offer tailored support when challenges arise working closely with the Workforce Development Manager and Duty Managers to spot issues early and respond with practical solutions.
Youll have the chance to shape our Workforce Development Plan ensuring training is not only high quality and trauma-informed but also meaningful and relevant to daily practice. By drawing on insights from data incidents and the lived experience of children youll help design a programme that combines best practice with fresh ideas working alongside both internal specialists and external providers.
Most importantly this role is about people. Youll coach mentor and guide staff so they feel confident in their roles and proud of the work they do. Youll support new and probationary staff help colleagues achieve essential qualifications and make sure learning is always shared across the team. Above all youll help strengthen Lansdownes one team ethos: a culture of kindness professionalism and high aspirations for every child we care for.
