Job Summary
The Certified Orthotist will be responsible for assessing patients fitting orthotic and prosthetic devices and making necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and functionality. The role involves traveling to nursing home facilities throughout New Jersey (with travel partly reimbursed). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented compassionate and licensed in NJ with at least one year of experience in orthotics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fit adjust and maintain braces and prosthetic devices for residents.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine orthotic/prosthetic needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure proper use of devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and device adjustments.
- Travel to multiple nursing home locations within NJ as required.
Qualifications:
- Active NJ Certified Orthotist (CO) license (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience fitting and adjusting orthotics/prosthetics.
- Strong clinical and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to travel within NJ (partial reimbursement provided).
