About the Role
As a Product Optimization Engineer you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our existing standard products. Your work will bridge the gap between design intent and component functionality ensuring our solutions remain robust cost-effective and future-ready. Your key responsibilities will include:

Maintain and improve standard products through reverse engineering and design refinement
Define and document component requirements and specifications (mechanical and electro-mechanical)
Lead and support product optimization projects including cost improvement and EOL initiatives
Participate in quality cases to resolve product and component failures
Specify and ensure execution of relevant tests to validate design improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D Procurement Assembly and Quality teams
Engage with external suppliers and test facilities when needed

Technical curiosity and structured documentarist
Were looking for someone who combines technical curiosity with structured problem-solving and a proactive mindset. You could hold a technical education such as Mechanical Engineer Marine Engineer Automation Technician or similar. Furthermore you have experience in maintaining and developing machinery or equipment preferably within the cooling industry. You work systematically with documentation and specifications and you have a strong understanding of component functionality and system design.

As a person you have an analytical and structured approach to problem-solving. You are curious about why things work and how they can work better. You feel comfortable with change and you are eager to contribute to a more structured engineering culture.

Experience with tools like SAP SolidWorks and test documentation is a plus.

Development Opportunities
This role offers a path toward becoming a specialist in product sustainment and optimization with the potential to contribute to future NPD (New Product Development) projects by applying deep knowledge of existing systems and components.
