Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) - Level II

Description
Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.
The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) - Level II is responsible for performing inspections calibrations diagnostics maintenance and repairs on a wide range of medical and non-medical support equipment including but not limited to medical package tools generators and environmental control units. The BMET II ensures all work is conducted in compliance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) guidance DoD instructions applicable regulations and unit directives. This role requires technical expertise attention to detail and adherence to established procedures to maintain equipment reliability and operational readiness.

Qualifications
Associates degree
Must have graduated from the DoD Biomedical Maintenance Course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance Course
Must graduate from the Planmeca digital dental course no later than 12 months after start.
Four years of field experience in performing and managing: initial inspections calibrations diagnostics maintenance life cycle management and repair of medical equipment within OEM guidance advanced: diagnostics maintenance and repair of medical and non-medical support equipment (oxygen generating systems radiographic diagnostics equipment advanced life support systems etc.).
Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa.
Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.
Salary
$ 33.28 to $ 41.49 per hour
